Who We Are

AJ Brown, LAC, SWLC

(She/her they/them)

I am a Montana native, growing up with the Big Sky in my backyard.

I have a Bachelors of Science from Montana State University in Psychology and focused my internship on sexual health and healthy relationships at a local family planning clinic. For 3 years I also worked educating individuals on alternative lifestyles on collective panels at Montana State University.

My focused studies have included interpersonal communication, motivational interviewing, endocrine systems and wellbeing, family and group systems. I am a compassionate queer social worker with 3 years of experience in substance abuse and mental health counseling. Passionate about supporting individuals and empowering couples through education and mindfulness, I prioritize a client-centered approach. I specialize in Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, emphasizing mindfulness and emotional regulation. I enjoy working with teens, adults, and couples, and believe that education empowers clients. My goal is to foster resilience and personal growth, not just address issues.

I am currently a member of the American Association of Sex Education, Counseling and Therapy, and working towards my Certified Sexuality Educator certification. I have been serving the Butte Silver Bow area since 2021 and am pleased with the beautiful community that has welcomed us and our family.

Amanda Krieg, LCSW (She/her/hers)

Hello, I’m Amanda , a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the Butte community, with over a decade of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most challenging moments.

I specialize in crisis intervention, supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they work through trauma, acute stress, and significant life transitions. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I understand that seeking help, especially during a crisis, can feel overwhelming. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients can feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Whether I’m working with a young child learning to manage big emotions, a teen struggling with anxiety, or an adult facing unexpected life changes, I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships and equipping clients with the tools they need to build resilience and foster lasting change.

If you or a loved one needs support, I’m here to walk alongside you, no matter where you are in your journey.
